Just curious, at a steady state 60mph cruise, how many RPM is your engine turning? If you get a chance to glance down and check, I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

It was around 2100 rpm at 70mph before the last dealer visit. My mileage has improved after they reprogrammed the system. I haven't checked since.
I'm assuming the rpm will not vary much at cruise speeds?
I'll check today.

Interesting, it looks like different cars are producing different readings, maybe there is a transmission software update. Our Mallfinder is 1500 at 60, and 1800 at 70. If it was a geared transmission, I would have expected a linear 1750. But since the transmission ratio is variable to match engine load, and wind load is proportional to the square of the velocity, you would expect more than a linear power requirement (from being higher in the powerband).

So remember when activating the cruise control would push the JX's rpm up 500 at the same speed? Are they still doing that, or is that part of the rumored software update. My RPMs don't change on cruise.
