What would you put the level of effort at for a do-it-yourself person?I just installed the factory hitch, harness, and finisher this morning. The install took about 3 hrs taking my time to do it right. The factory installation instructions are excellent. I paid $335 for everything including shipping and handling. Infiniti parts is currently offering 20% off accessories until 31 July.
http://parts.infinitiusa.com is where I bought my parts from. You need to buy the wiring harness also. The tow receiver doesn't come with the wiring. Trailer Tow Harness
As far as the install goes I would rate it at a 5/10. I would recommend getting some nylon pry bars to remove the plastic covers/fasteners to avoid breaking or scratching them up. I used a dremel to make the cut out I would use the multipurpose 561 bit. The hitch is supposed to be torqued to 81 ft/lbs. Other than that it uses pretty basic hand tools.
Like I said before the instructions from Infiniti were excellent.
