1. 2013 SRT Viper – It’s the official return of one of the most iconic sports cars ever made, and you have to give credit where credit is due. The latest Viper may have more bells and whistles than past versions, but its estimated 640-horsepower says it’s still a beast to be reckoned with.

2. 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek – A crossover based on the Subaru Impreza platform, offering a 2.0-litre Boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive? Sign us up! This little vehicle looks awesome, and while a not-as-fun continuously variable transmission is offered, a 5-speed manual comes standard. The XV Crosstrek reminds us of a more fun version of the Outback, a fun vehicle in its own right.

3. 2013 Lincoln MKZ – Ford has made no secret about its plans to rejuvenate the Lincoln luxury brand, and it looks to be headed in the right direction with the MKZ sedan. Besides the design, we can’t wait to try out the long list of technology available in the MKZ, from the Continuously Controlled Damping that allows for three driving modes, to the updated Lincoln MyTouch infotainment system.

4. 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class – The once too-cute GLK gets a makeover for the 2013 model year, giving it much more aggressive look. Besides the aesthetic changes, Canadians will get to drive a diesel version of the GLK for the first time, and if it’s one company that knows how to make excellent diesel vehicles, it’s Mercedes-Benz.

5. Infiniti LE Concept – Infiniti says this vehicle, with its dramatic styling, will be reaching showrooms within the next two years. Much more interesting, though, is the fact that this is a zero emission vehicle. Beyond that, Infiniti envisions an electric vehicle that doesn’t require plugs – they say the production version can be simply parked on a “charging pad”.

6. 2014 Chevrolet Impala – An old nameplate gets a head-turning facelift and all kinds of new technology. We’re not sure how fun it’ll be to drive, but you can bet this vehicle will prove to be more than welcomed by the 9-to-5′ers of the world who want to get home in as quiet and comfortable an environment as possible.

7. 2013 Porsche Cayenne Diesel – Porsche purists can continue on reading to number eight on this list. For everyone else who appreciates what Porsche’s SUV offers, the diesel version is sure to be a reason to rejoice. It’s difficult to complain about 406 lb-ft of torque and up to 30 percent increase in fuel economy. And like other models in the Cayenne lineup, we’re guessing this vehicle will still handle better than a lot of cars on the road right now.
