I just received a recall notice for non-California JX vehicles. Infiniti has found that Engine Control Module (ECM) needs to be re-programmed. Apparently in some situations the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) comes on. The cause is a calibration error which can improperly supply power to the downstream Air-Fuel A/F) sensor heater circuit during engine off diagnostics. This doesn't effect vehicle fuel consumption or safety. Drivability and performance may in rare circumstances be temporarily affected.

Infiniti will reprogram the ECM and will replace any affected A/F sensors free of charge. They estimate about one hour for the service on this issue. You should be getting a notice in the mail, but if you don't, you can contact Infiniti Consumer Affairs Department at 800-662-6200.
