My JX has been in the shop for almost half of three weeks we have owned it. Does anybody else have these issues:
1. Miles To Empty way overstated to the point where we ran out of gas at "71 miles to empty." Told it is a software problem and they are working in a fix. Needle gas gauge is accurate.
2. When car is idling, if you turn rear climate on high, you can hear water trickling in right rear of vehicle. If you accelerate from stop, you can hear a high pitch wind noise of some sort from the same area.
3. If you accelerate from stop without rear climate on, you can the water trickling in right rear.
4. Every time we turn the vehicle on, we get a “Flood Warning” from the voice control. How do we clear this out or have the weather map update so it will be clear.
5. When nobody or no packages are on passenger seat, passenger “airbag off” warning light on all of the time. The seat belt light stays on for 10-15 minutes into trip as well. I don’t believe this has anything to do with “miles to empty” issue as was suggested.

The only issue that you have that I have experienced is the "Flood Warning." It has been coming on for the last week or so every time we start the car. By your name, I see that you are in Cypress. I live pretty close to that area. I think the flood warning is just being generated from the weather service the car is subscribed to.

Miles to Empty being off is really bad, last thing you want is to be stuck on the side of the road. Hopefully it's nothing more than something with the ECU or sensors.

Is your JX still in the shop? I bet you got a cool loaner car from Infiniti!

I got an email from Infiniti today saying there are two recalls on my car for
JX SIDE MARKER LIGHTS
JX PARKING BRAKE LIGHT
Don't know what these are for.

I haven't had any problems with mine yet. Though I'm only seeing 16.1 mpg at the moment. I haven't done a long freeway drive yet.

I have test driven the JX a few times now, I observed 2 different rattles on 2 different vehicles so far:
1. Buzzing/vibration from a driver side door panel during acceleration.
2. Buzzing noise from 2nd row seat.

1. Mine was off with the first few tanks of gas, but improved significantly after 500 miles
2 & 3. Interesting... I swapped out the tweeters last week and found tubing in the pillar for draining water, wasn't sure what it was
4. You can turn that of in xm preferences
5. Airbag light is normal, does it in my Lexus as well. Not sure about seatbelt...

At 1100 miles, averaging 19.5 mpg with mixed highway/city driving... (I drive aggressively as well)

Just received an update. The sloshing and wind noise were due to an assembly defect. The climate control drain hose in the right rear of the vehicle was not routed correctly. Water built up from the A/C condensation over a week. Wonder what would have happened if it kept filling?

I am concerned about the assembly quality of the JX. I know that plant also makes other cars as well. Maybe we can look at them for reliability or build quality reports for long term usage.

Anyone else have any problems with their JX? Also for the two recalls, do you have any more information on them?

I am getting some rattling from the front dash. Appears to be the middle speaker because when I push down on the speaker the rattling stops. Only have 687 miles on it. 90% highway... Thinking about bringing it in.. Other than that no other problems at this point.

I have had the "Flood Warning" voice each time I started the car as well, I'm just outside of Houston. It is aggravating as I just turned off the voice warning but would like to use it. I did check the weather the first few times and it was clear and no rain around but still had the warning.
I also had the Passenger Airbag light act a little odd when my wife got out of the car for just a minute and then got back in, the light came on for a while.
I haven't heard many other noises yet but I have only driven maybe 100 miles on it so far, very short distance each day to and from work so I have much more driving to do to get used to it.

I also noticed the arrow to gas icon point right and another arrow to gas icon point right. 1 is pointing to gas left in vehicle I suppose while the other is pointing to gas tank but it is weird to have exact same icons pointing in different directions.

scratch that the front dash speaker rattle is back even worst now. I took the speaker apart and found that the rattle is deeper in the dash. Dealer would have to take the dash apart to solve the rattle issue. rattle is driving me bonkers.

Those weather warnings are part of the XM weather option in the satellite radio that you have to pay a few bucks extra for when the free subscription runs out. The XM traffic and XM weather are both additional options, I think $4/month each was what the rep told me when I talked to them a few weeks ago.

Here is the SF Bay Area, my wife says it tells her of "Gale warnings" on most days and it's always over 20 miles away and we don't feel those winds. I bet it's winds out in the Pacific Ocean! I know we're dropping weather as soon as there's a charge.

My wife does like seeing the traffic along the freeways and reading the delay warnings, so maybe we'll keep the XM traffic.

I'm happy to say that we don't have any quality issues to report with the car itself!

got my JX on monday, the second row 60 split seat doesn't fold as it is supposed to for third row access, brought it in today for repair
also found the idling RPM is not stable, wiggles a bit when parked. Does anyone have the same problem? service advisor told me it is normal, her car does it too... don't know if it is true

Haven't have any problems yet. But didn't drive much also due to the saling of the old car, have to show it from work place.

However, I did notice two rubber trims at the bototm of windshield, toward each side, are very loose, almost put in there and you can remove them easily. The fog lights are not solidly attached either, and are loose, don't know how long before they will fall off.
