Phone book downloading

I have had my JX for 2 months and today was the first time I tried to use my phone book, and it was not there. I thought it will downlod automatically. but not. I tried to download it manually and it took forever. Never downloaded. Yes I have auto download checked. I have a IPhone 4S and have about 150 contacts.

Does anyone have the same problems? what did I do wrong.

Thanks.

We're in the same boat. You're not doing anything wrong. I read someplace (an Infiniti help page, I think) that iPhone phone books are not supported yet. I also have a blackberry work phone, and it won't download that phone's contacts, either. Lame. I think that's because there are too many, but I'm not sure. I manually entered contacts. By the way, I find the voice recognition to be much better with nav than it is with phone contacts.
Thanks, Jessydog, that makes me feel better, in a sense. NOthing wrong wiht my JX, but also disappointed. The vehicle phone book can only hold 40 entries. Too bad.

Thanks for the info. I tried today with my iPhone, no success. Strange they can't get it to work with one of the most popular phones.
Just waiting for those Apple installed GPS Navs to hit cars soon. It will atleast make other manufacturers sit up and notice that they install the shittttiest systems in cars. Its about time someone shafted them, hard!
Downloaded the phone book from my iPhone on the first try...works great with my iPhone 4...not sure what you guys did wrong....
Cochise86,

how did you do it? Waht is the steps? It didn't work for me.

Thanks.
I have never had an issue with my iphone phonebook; my sales person did all the set-up for me when I went to go pick up the vehicle.
I have an iPhone and am having the same issues as well. Won't download the phonebook. Arson, how many phone contacts do you have in the vehicle and also in your phone?
Sorry but I only used my "intuition"...after reading the entire manual for the JX. Is the iPhone functioning properly through the bluetooth?
I haven't tried to download my contacts from my iPhone 4S, but I do use Siri through the bluetooth a lot including writing text messages and making phone calls, all while driving. Make sure the phone is synced with bluetooth. Just push the home button on the iphone and Siri will now be active through the car's speakers. Just say "call John Smith mobile," and Siri will do it for you. You can also say "send John Smith a message." State the message when Siri asks for it, then say "send" when Siri repeats your message and asks if you are ready to send. Works well unless there is a lot of road noise or kids screaming in the back seat.

Believe it or not, this functionality is supported by iPhone 3 and 4 through voice dialing. Hold down the home button, wait for quick tone, say "call xxxxx". iPhone will auto dial. No Siri needed.

I have 70 Contacts on my iPhone, all other contacts are on my work berry, I don't have that synced with my vehicle. I haven't checked to see how many contacts are actually on the vehicle, I'll update once I find out.
I haven't gotten my JX yet, but the sales guy paired my iphone during my test drive and all of my contacts downloaded right away.

This is why I don't pair clients phones as part of a demo. We're so anal about not disclosing personal information all the time, yet we do dumb things like that. This is also why I double check all cars being delivered to make sure I've deleted any info that has been auto-linked to the car.
