My Jx is 5 day old and yesterday i found and issue in the morning while taking the car out of garage..
The passenger side door door had light up...
i thought maybe it was not close properly so opened and slammed it thudd tight... still the light is on and the door does NOT close full. i can still see a gap between the door and body frame....
i could not initially lock with the door open.. later it resolved itself but still the light is on while driving. door on the right passenger.

My infiniti dealer is 2 hrs away :( so i took it to local nissan dealer.. he just had a quick look at it but did not have a definite answer... but said" they will fix it up but it will NOT be covered under warranty"
I was not very happy about it but called the infinti dealer and he asked me to take some pictures of it and tom will ask a technician to talk to me...
I looked carefully if something is sticking but nothing like that.
I am obsessing about it and will like any inputs...dont want to make a 4 hr trip for something stupid
thanks as always...

I guess Nissan service centers dont cover warranty for Infiniti's? Sucks that the dealer is so far away, but I think you might have to make the trip.
Is the light on when the engine is off as well?

makes sense to me, i bet they can still do basic maintenance such as oil changes

I had some problem with the trim around the door (the rubber was peeling off). The dealer replaced the trim.
I also had them realign the door at a later time when I went in for my first service.

I think my drivers door needs to be realigned. It doesn't close the same as the other doors. No gaps or anything, just doesn't feel right. Until I saw your post I thought it was all in my head. Thanks!!
