My Jx is 5 day old and yesterday i found and issue in the morning while taking the car out of garage..
The passenger side door door had light up...
i thought maybe it was not close properly so opened and slammed it thudd tight... still the light is on and the door does NOT close full. i can still see a gap between the door and body frame....
i could not initially lock with the door open.. later it resolved itself but still the light is on while driving. door on the right passenger.

My infiniti dealer is 2 hrs away so i took it to local nissan dealer.. he just had a quick look at it but did not have a definite answer... but said" they will fix it up but it will NOT be covered under warranty"
I was not very happy about it but called the infinti dealer and he asked me to take some pictures of it and tom will ask a technician to talk to me...
I looked carefully if something is sticking but nothing like that.
I am obsessing about it and will like any inputs...dont want to make a 4 hr trip for something stupid

Is the light on when the engine is off as well?

yeah the light if off when engine is off..
but for sure the door is open as it bulges out of mainframe a bit..
bummer...

makes sense to me, i bet they can still do basic maintenance such as oil changes

Oh yes. Nissan won't cover Infiniti. Infiniti will cover it.

I had some problem with the trim around the door (the rubber was peeling off). The dealer replaced the trim.
I also had them realign the door at a later time when I went in for my first service.

I think my drivers door needs to be realigned. It doesn't close the same as the other doors. No gaps or anything, just doesn't feel right. Until I saw your post I thought it was all in my head. Thanks!!

How much time it took?

I left the car for the whole day. I used their loaner that day.
If my memory serves right, they told me it would take a couple of hours.

They said something "about the latch" have to replace it. Did not have it in stock loaned me a g37,,,
