Hi,

I am a first time Infiniti buyer and am posting to get feedback on the QX60 AWD as well as the various available packages and add-ons. In my research, it seems that the QX60 has the best 3-row seating for an SUV in this price range which is one of my primary goals along with safety.

Is there any reason I should not be considering the QX60 and be looking at any other 7-seater SUV?

The upgrades I am looking to get are: Driver Assistance Package (for the IBA, BSW, DCA and BCI features) and Premium Plus Package (since its required for Driver Assistance).

The Technology package or the Deluxe Touring package seemed like an overkill. Is there anything in particular in these packages that you have used and feel like it is a “must-have” feature?

What other upgrades would you recommend I think about getting factory installed?
- All season floor mats?
- Illuminated Kick Plates?
- Splash guards?
- Cargo Package?

Any advice you can provide would be very helpful as I plan to pull the trigger this weekend.

Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I bought the same car as you. Mine is a model year older, so it's a JX35. I got the drivers assist, illum. kick plates, maple accent, and roof rails.
I'd definitely get roof rails if you ever want a rack on the roof. The roof rails and cross bars are two different things. roof rails cannot be added at the dealer - must come from the factory. I'll buy the cross bars at a later date when I'm ready to buy a ski/snowboard holder.
Illum. kick plates are up to you. I wouldn't care if they were there or not. Maple accent looks a million times better than the standard "wood" trim.
Heres my $0.02 for you. Happy shopping, and find a good dealer. These things are everywhere. If you're not 1,000% satisfied at the first dealer you go to, find others. I spoke to 4 on the phone, and visited 2. I'm very happy with my dealer from a sales and service perspective. Make sure you are, too.

If I were buying this car right now, here's how I'd configure it.

AWD
Premium, Premium Plus
Driver's Assistance
Roof Rails and X-Bars
Rear Bumper protector
Splash Guards
Gasser (Hybrid forces you to buy Deluxe Tech to get the Driver Assist features)

That should add up to somewhere around $52.5K at MSRP.

If you're in NorCal, contact me and I'll make you a great deal. Especially if you want to do something before Tuesday.
If I could find one with factory-installed Tow, I'd get that since it's cheaper than adding later at the dealer

Take him up on the offer. If I were buying the JX now knowing what I do about dealerships, I'd purchase it from him in the Bay Area. He knows the Infiniti brand better than anyone else I've run across.

Hi! newbee here. My wife bought an infiniti qx60 with premium package last week. The one she test drive before buying had navigation and 4-way camera. she thought that was the one she was getting but it wasn't. Is there a way to get those options the car that she bought already? Thanks!

I think she needed to have the premium plus as well. I'm amazed you found one specified without that package.

I suspect you are out of luck - others here will know for certain.

A better idea might be to back to your dealer, fall on the sword and see what they can do for you.

Good luck.

Bill
