Is it just me or do you guys find it annoying that the letters on the nav screen are poorly rendered? What I'm referring to is that for example a diagonal street will have its name written poorly. Wheel World Font Vehicle Tree

I attached a photo example of the issue.

See the video in the review for 2011 Infiniti G37.

http://reviews.cnet.com/sedan/2011-infiniti-g37-sedan/4505-10865_7-35027124.html

Watch a little past the time 1:34. Where CNET's reviewer complains about the map rendering. I thought the JX being a 2013 model they might have improved the NAV rendering. But it seems like it has not changed at all. The surprising thing is when I test did a test drive I did not see any of these funny renderings.

So anytime a street appears diagonally across it shows up like that? That is just plain ugly!

My thought was - why couldn't they just put a TomTom in there :) I'm happier with the 100$ TomTom than with this.
Its not intuitive to use the voice to say, find the nearest Home Depot. Atleast, it doesn't feel very laggy.

I've been using it in the bird view mode and I hardly look at it since its ugly.

I actually asked a local audio shop if they can take the stock unit out and swap in a better audio and gps unit while keeping it the exact same OEM look. They said they can.. So I think I might swap to a better pioneer GPS deck. My parents have this unit on their Infinti G37 sedan and it drives me nuts.

I agree how horrible it is, i hardly use my GPS since I stay in the city and in areas I know but getting a Tom Tom or Garmin GPS will be an option for me. I doubt replacing the factory GPS with something else will be smart, don't wait to void any warranties.

If were lucky enough a software update might become available that corrects this issue.

The only warranty it would void is the one for the factory entertainment unit. Not like that would matter to me since I'd be taking it out. If I ever sell it I can just swap it back in. Apparently its a very simple swap.
