We are very close to making a deal on a new JX. I think I want the midnight garnet color but my dealer does not have one on the lot. Midnight garnet JX owners: can you describe the color for me? Is is more black than red? Does it seem more maroon in color?

Yes I was thinking it was red and did not consider it. But after seeing it on the dealer's lot my wife and myself liked it a lot. It is more maroon and not red.

I'd recommend trying to see one in person before ordering. It's one of those "love it or hate it" colors. We thought we wanted one until we made a trip to Atlanta to visit my dad/look at a broader range of colors than those available in our small market town. They had the Garnet/Java that my wife thought she wanted...until she saw it in person. No offense to those who have it (I know not everyone loves the green either), but it just wasn't what she was looking for.

It's like a dark cherry with a hint of brown. Love the color...

In most lighting it looks like the color of a Hershey bar a red brown. In full sun looks red and in shade dark brown to black. You could see if your dealer has and EXs in Midnight Garnet thats where we first saw the color on a large scale. We have Midnight Garnet and Java and its a great combo.

It is an amazing color in my opinion, I have it on mine. It does look black in the dark, but man in the sun it sure is metallic with a nice sparkle in it. A very sharp color, I have the Java interior which I love as well.
