Could be based on the Nissan Leaf
Infiniti has already teased their upcoming electric vehicle, but a new report is indicating a concept will be introduced at the New York Auto Show.
Based on the Nissan Leaf, the car will reportedly have an upgraded powertrain and aggressive styling inspired by the G-Series.
Additional information is limited, but The Detroit Bureau is reporting the concept will be equipped with a larger lithium-ion battery which should enable the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately nine seconds. This is roughly two seconds faster than the Nissan Leaf, but the concept is still expected to have a range of 100 miles (161 km). The car could also have an upgraded charging system which would enable a depleted battery to be recharged 50 percent faster than in the Leaf.
Regardless of the final details, the concept is expected to be a thinly-veiled preview of the production model that will be launched in 2014.
