Anyone know how to get a DVD to play automatically? Everytime I put a DVD in it comes on but then will not play automatically.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The issue I was having was utilizing the dvd play options from the main screen/navigation screen. When I would try to skip past the intro or previews my screen would say "invalid operation" or "the movie will resume when the vehicle is in park" I called a very educated infiniti rep from the dealership where I bought it and he informed me that this is an infiniti safety feature. Basically the controls are not available to the driver on some dvd's. He informed me that the rear seat passenger's have to control the dvd player via the remote when these messages are displayed to the driver. It is just different from what I am used to. I traded in a 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite. On my van you could completely control all dvd functions from the driver's seat. Hopefully I made a little more sense this time...

Wow thats pretty smart to leave the full control of the dvd player in the back seats while operating vehicles. Theres too many distractions already as it is like cell phones and etc. Keeping your eyes and attention on the road is key safety for you and other drivers.

Imagine having to lean back and look behind the fwd seat to select the options for the dvd.

Sorry for the late reply. Our Odyssey Touring Elite had more room and obviously the power sliding doors were a plus. However, The JX is leaps and bounds above in terms of luxury and ride. I absolutely love the JX, plus no more minivan .
