I have the driver assistance package and think it's worth spending the $2.2K to get it.

I use the remote start and blind spoting warning feature all the time. The intelligent cruise control and back up collision intervention feature are good too.

I like the Intelligent Cruise Control.
I don't find the Blind Spot Warning all that helpful. The indicator should have been placed on the side mirrors.
The remote engine start will be useful if you have a lot of snow.
I wish I could turn off the Active Trace Control to know how much of it adds to the driveability of the JX. Maybe test drive a car with one and without one?

If you have the money and are planning to keep the car for long, take it.

I think the BSW is very helpful and that the indicators are placed inside is a lot better than outside. Ford has those on the mirror and they are difficult to see at certain lighting conditions. IF it snowed, you can't see them at all.

If you turn off the VDC the active trace control is also deactivated.

The BSW is nice but the BSI saved my butt. I checked my mirrors and gave a quick look over my shoulder and saw nothing. Flipped on my blinker and started to change lanes when the car started beeping and fighting the turn. I looked again and there he was pulling out of my blind spot.

If you live in a place wiht hot summer, it also worht it with the remote start and AC.
I agree, Texas summers mean 90+ in the morning, loading up kids breaks a sweat. Worse when the car has been baking in the 110+ sun for 4 hours.

However you don't need this package to get remote start. I seem to recall this being an add-on feature without a package.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the Driver Assistance package to be a nice value at $2,200. You get a good amount of features, and have no doubt other carmakers would charge more for similar features.

If we end up buying the JX, I would probably want this package just to futureproof the car. The nice thing is that you only need the Premium package in order to get this package.

Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range)
Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA)[*] with Forward Collision Warning
Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
Back-Up Collision Intervention (BCI)
Distance Control Assist (DCA)
Active Trace Control (adjusts vehicle braking and engine torque to help enhance cornering feel)
Eco Pedal
Heated steering wheel
Remote engine start

I concur with Go_Blue -- I felt that the features in the Driver Assistance are well worth the $2,200. I ordered mine with that package. However, I didn't feel the same with respect to the Deluxe Touring package. While it had a couple of sweet features (air conditioned front seats and the big back seat moon roof), I wasn't willing to go that route due to being forced to purchase the Theater Package. The requirement for the Theater Package (at a bloated $1700) kills any downstream offerings -- for me. I'll get an iPad (or two) and have much more entertainment.

I like the package very much. The best thing is that you really don't have to cover the brake any more.JX will stop for you in city traffic. But it is not $2200, you have to get the premium package in order to get it, it is almost $8000 together. But if you have the premium, the DAP is a no brainer.
