Since it is a first year vehicle, figure it wouldn't be a bad idea. I saw another 4 page thread listing some to contact, but they can't be rolled into the dealership purchase price for monthly payments. Can dealerships sell warranties from 3rd party sources?
They can. Our dealership didn't sell the Infiniti warranty, rather one by The Mechanic. We saw a thread on this forum regarding shopping for th warranty and after some research purchased the top of the line Infiniti warranty from Circle Infiniti of New Jersey. They beat everyone's price and allowed us to make payments.
We have purchased new vehicles over the years, seven Nissan products. Even though we didn't use the warranties for much, it was worth it if we had a major issue. We traded in our 2010 Armada for the JX and received a big chunk of the warranty back and applied it to the JX.
We had a used 2001 Mercedes ML and purchased an extended warranty. We really needed it. We also had a used Sevana van with an extended warranty. Thank God...we replaced the transmission twice. Well worth the investment.
Hope this helps.
