I read some reviews on the comfort of the JX 2nd row seat. They mentioned that head- and leg-rooms are good; however the seats are very low to the floor and for this, taller folks will have some issue with the comfort. Can existing owners please comment on this? Thanks.

Lower seats also means better headroom for taller folks. But I'm only 5-6 and shrinking, so the seats were plenty comfy for my legs. There are also controls on the center console all the way down to the floor (rear seat heating switches) for the rear passengers, so lower seats would make those easier to access.

Yes, I too found this an issue if the front seats are all the way down, there is no space for adults to put their feet under the seat to stretch out in the second row. It does create a cramped feeling. Our solution is to raise our seats in front enough to give the second row some feet room and it helps a lot. I didn't find it uncomfortable to have my seat raised in front and still had plenty of head room. I am tall and just had to bend my head a little when getting out or lower my seat to exit.

The reason we stepped into the JX was simply because of our 6' 3" size 13 shoe 14 year old and his youner brother is running a close second. We did the mini van thing when they were much younger and that was simple no longer an option for us. We wanted something that was much more sexier and had to room. Let's put it this way there is no complaints from the second and 3 row. See the photo from last year's family vacation form Toronto to Florida (the rest of his body is in the backseat). Yes the seats are low but hopefully your are the driver.

I think the sacrifice has to be made for headroom. If they made the seats taller you would have less headroom. If you can fit your feet under the front seat that would help with extending your legs forward.

I'm only 5'8" and even to me, I can feel the 2nd row too low. Extending the feets under the front row seat would help a bit but the front row seats will have to pretty much be raised to its max height.
It's not a big issue to us because we like to sit high on the front seats and the second row is mostly for our young kids... so the lower second seats actually work perfectly for us.
If your usage of second row would be for taller kids/adults, then you probably would want to really spend some time on it in the showroom before you buy the new JX

Interesting, wifey and I are both 5'8...more than likely she will be in the second row with the infant most of the time though.

The kids are extremely comfy back there, so that's the most important thing. For long trips, they're the ones spending the most time in back. I rode in the back during the test drive and thought the seats/leg room was more comfortable than anything else we drove, but that was based on about 15 min.
