I made refundable deposit as well, a few weeks ago. I was planning to negotiate when my car was at the dealer and walk away if they would not budge from MSRP. We can just wait a few months and buy in the fall when all the hype dies down if we can't get a decent price now. Thanks for posting your info. Where did you negotiate this deal?

Massapequa NY. Most dealers around here seem to be getting in around 25 cars and claim to have half of them with deposits. I wanted a specific color/package so I figured I'd take the plunge. If they stayed at sticker i would have walked away as well.

It depends on the dealer and your relationship with them. Wait a few months and they'll deal with you. Right now they are using the hype to their advantage.

I paid $1,000 below MSRP. Also a refundable deposit.

We test drove the JX last night & our dealership is saying MSRP, not a penny off. The salesman even went as far as saying that they would be fined by Infiniti if any special deals are given. Really? I find that hard to believe! We purchased a car from this dealership just last year so we're waiting to hear back from the sales manager to see what he says about that. We like the car, but we wouldn't pay MSRP for it.

I've contacted 3 dealerships across Florida and here is what they are saying...1 says MSRP, period, and that they would incur a fine from ?? if they gave any special deals, 2nd says MSRP but are offering a really good trade for our car + 200 off since we contacted them via internet. They said that MSRP is a "deal" since now they are placing a $3000. premium on top of MSRP, 3rd is giving us low value for our trade, MSRP, but offering $500. off for internet customers.

Hi guys, can those that already purchased the car list how much discount off the MSRP that they got? So far, one saleman is willing to lower $1k off MSRP for me, but I don't know if it's a good price or not.

I read before that 1K off MSRP was also a deal that a few others got. They won't be willing to give you much of a deal just yet. The car just came out. If you wait then maybe later on they'll throw in options for free.

I just negotiated for $1000.00 off msrp in Jacksonville Florida, I have purchased 3 previous infinities in my local town but dealer hear would not budge off msrp so I went eles where and really happy I did . Our dealership here kinda slimy thought new owner would change things but its the same old crap. There are dealers that will be happy to earn your business you just need to find them. Good luck!

I'm in Florida , I got $1000 off from Herman in Jacksonville, very nice to work with ....my local dealer has lost my business and referals forever, have purchased 3 previous cars from local dealer love infinti cars/suv,dealing with local dealer not so much.. Ours was under new ownership so hoped for better experience but same old crapy treatment caused me to look around the state some dealers marked above msrp, ect... Glad I found Atlantic infinity in Jacksonville no games worth the trip to get the car . Good luck to you ! If you can wait for the hype to go down you could probably get better price, also see if you qualify for Vpp pricing the jx is listed on it...

I'm really considering to buy a JX35 as an alternative minivan. It looks like these days dealers won't give any good deal as this car is brand new. Then, what'd be if I wait til late July? Would be there good deals?

I initially considered to buy an MDX with technology package. That looks like available around 44K (MSRP 47K). I'm considering FWD + Premium package (MSRP 46.5K). Hopefully I would like to get around 43K or so.

Test drive both. Get a feel for which one you like more. The JX wont be seeing any good deals anytime soon.
