According to Nov 12 Autoweek, the 2014 JX will (likely) get a forced induction (supercharger) 4 cylinder with a lithium-ion battery (hybrid or plug-in) and a CVT. Infiniti already has models running around for auto-mags.

The mag continues to say:
During a brief test drive, we found the powertrain gives an energetic feel to the JX, with the hybrid's electric assist and the supercharging elements spicing up the buttoned-down demeanor of the crossover.

Personally, I'd continue to skip the hybrid for the following reasons
- Hybrids continue to be a transition technology since batteries don't hold enough juice and cost too much
- Cost generally takes years to recover, if at all
- Hybrid failures cost $5K-10K (Buddies 7 yr old RX inverter cost +$7K)
- Batteries can cost more than the motor - After 100K miles I don't want two huge expenses that can go out

FWIW, Infiniti's warranty on the hybrid components of the M hybrid is 8 years/100K miles. I can't wait to drive a G35h (assuming that's the designation) when it comes out in the summer.
